This final revelation of God is His Gift to us--the

Gift of Himself

    Anyone who has ever been a parent can tell you that most (if not

all) children go through what is known as the “why?” stage of

intellectual growth and development.

 The things that Jesus said leading

up to His crucifixion were said for the benefit of His disciples, so

that they might be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that they

were about to experience

 The resurrection of Jesus Christ

from the dead proclaims “newness of life” (Romans 6:4) for those who

through Baptism belong to Him.  

If the message of Christianity was based on the apostles, both the
message and the Church would be as dead as those apostles are.  But
the Church and its message are based on the living Lord, so they are
as alive as He is.

When you go to visit the grave of a departed loved one, what do you
expect to find there?
