The first thing that we need to remember when we share the Gospel of

Christ in the world is what Paul and Timothy said to the Corinthians:

“What we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord” (2

Corinthians 4:5).

 It is altogether appropriate to

remember with thanksgiving the blessings that we have received through

our dear ones who have departed this life.  It’s just that none of

that should ever be allowed to compete with our Savior for our

attention and commitment, nor should it sidetrack us from the mission

of sharing the Good News of salvation in Christ.

Like King David, you and I have enemies in the world.  Some of them

might be quite close to us. 

    “How much do you love me?”  Ever since time began poets and

philosophers, romantics and lovers have tried in vain to measure love.

 How did it all get started?  That’s a question that often comes to mind when we think about various customs, stories, or rules of conduct that have a long history.

most confusing.
