It would be an understatement to say that we live in a time and place of complacency. 

  Since the season of Epiphany is all about the manifestation of the glory of the Son of God, it is certainly fitting that this season should come to its glorious conclusion with the celebration of the transfiguration of our Lord. 

It is said that humor is best when it's based in truth. 

  The matter of Christian freedom has always been a relevant topic in the Christian Church. 

  Anyone who is a parent or has ever been a parent no doubt has at least some understanding of parental pride. 

We human beings are not always the quickest or easiest learners in the world.  As a matter of fact, throughout our history we have shown ourselves to be quite stubborn and bullheaded--especially when it comes to accepting things that go against our preconceived notions.

            There always has been and I suspect that there always will be a certain sense of excitement that characterizes New Year's Eve.
