The Trinity is one of the most fundamental doctrines of Christianity and also one of the

most confusing. 

    Pentecost, which has become one of the three great feasts of the

Christian year, originally was not a specifically Christian

observance.

    The ascension of Jesus has been looked at by many Christians as a

coronation of sorts--the celebration of Jesus’ divine glory and

majesty as the Lord, Savior, and King of all, revealed when He

returned to His heavenly throne after completing His mission of the

redeeming the world. 

This final revelation of God is His Gift to us--the

Gift of Himself

    Anyone who has ever been a parent can tell you that most (if not

all) children go through what is known as the “why?” stage of

intellectual growth and development.

 The things that Jesus said leading

up to His crucifixion were said for the benefit of His disciples, so

that they might be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that they

were about to experience

 The resurrection of Jesus Christ

from the dead proclaims “newness of life” (Romans 6:4) for those who

through Baptism belong to Him.
